Hello SGSR friends. My name is Shari and this is my sidekick Lambchop. We are best buddies and are in need of a forever home. I am 5 year old female German Shepherd and love to play with Lambchop, who is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix. We race each other around, play peekaboo under the bed and wrestle a lot. It's our favorite thing to do besides go on walks. We came to SGSR from a hoarding situation and were initially separated. This was horrible for me! I didn't want to eat or play, but one day they walked Lampchop by my kennel and I went bezerk! I was sooo excited to see him! They decided to put us together and I got back to my old self in no time. Needless to say we come as a package deal. Basically you get the best of both worlds: a pretty GSD, if I do say so myself, and an adorable lap dog.

Due to our situation we didn't get a lot of training so we would definitely need some to polish off our skills. We do great on leash but when I see another dog, I want to go say hello. I'm not aggressive just super friendly. Lamchop could care less about the other dogs. We are also crated as we can't be trusted alone in the  house just yet, but training will help with that. Lambchop loves to steal socks, not sure why, but at least he doesn't chew on them.  He just rolls on them. He also has dragged off a shoe or two in the beginning - he's such a fashionista!  We also LOVE to give kisses and be with our humans! We just can't help ourselves because we are so happy to be in a better place. We are great with kids but prefer 5 and up since we are active and might knock a younger one down when we are playing. Cats - umm preferably not. I'm not sure how we would be. We really need to be the only animals in the house. I have gotten protective over Lambi in the past - nothing bad, I just don't want to share him.

We have two foster brothers (two legged ones) that adore us and we play catch with them and go on walks. We sleep next to each other on a bed on the floor in the room with our foster mom.

OH, I cant forget to mention I love the hose in the backyard! I'm sure that's not a surprise but yep, water is AWESOME! I'm sure I would love a lake or something like that but I don't remember if I have been to one. I helped my foster mom one day while she was doing yard work by trying to get the leaf blower -  wind in the mouth is the best!! Lambi prefers to stay away from loud things like that, though. We are adorable, funny and super sweet. I do bark when people come around the house and sometimes Lambi chimes in, but not often. He leaves that job up to me lol! We do love to follow our foster mom around the house; upstairs, downstairs doesn't matter. All in all we are wonderful and would love to find an active forever home.

If you think you can offer us our forever home, please work with your adoption coordinator. If you are not yet approved to adopt but are interested in adopting us, please fill out an application at southeastgermanshepherdrescue.com. We are being fostered near Charlotte, NC.
